Welcome to our 2012 Foals page!
Here at Benson Ranch we wait eagerly for our foals as they are a result of much careful planning and big dreams. Most of our breeding donkeys are part of the Circle C herd and are Grant and Sharon Cooke's legacy. It is an honor to have the herd here and a privilege to watch foals of this quality arrive. Our foals are born throughout most of the year. This herd has been established for many years and quite a few of the individual donkeys are well known. Because of this I have decided to post my list of our foals expected for 2012. If you see a pairing that particularly appeals to you please let me know and I will notify you when that foal is born.
New for this year will be foals by the
outstanding jack Willow Creek Luigi.
We gave him some very good jennets and are excited to see how his bloodlines will niche with our Cooke/Benson jennets.

mouse colored gelding to be DOB: 12/24/12
Circle C Cappachino x MGF Red Jet
This cute little guy is a very unusual color. He is almost a smoky black with a dark muzzle but he also has quite a cast of light brown overall and I really think he looks like a mouse. He is a small, short bodied boy with good conformation, as I would expect from his high quality sire and dam.

Circle C Flambe' x Willow Creek Luigi
This little guy is soooo much fun! He is bold and sassy! He is also a beauty. I think he going to be a tall performance type gelding and those are increasingly difficult to find. I think Finnegan has the potential to be quite a force in the show ring.

Circle C Larissa x Ozark Jazzy Jamm
We lost Jazzy Jamm this year due to age and poor treatment prior to his time with us. He was a gentle soul and is missed. This son out of one of our top Circle C jennets is outstanding. He has substantial bone, correct long legs, and a gorgeous head. To top it all off he is an affectionate fellow and we are really having fun with him. I think he has great potential as a performance gelding.

Feather Ridge Mavis x Willow Creek Luigi
Solstice is a pretty jennet of an unusual color. Her body is dark red/brown and her legs are black. She is a fancy girl with strong genetics.

Debutant is a beautiful girl and shows the influence of both her outstanding sire and dam. Legend gives us very few foals as he is often not interested in breeding so we especially cherish the ones he does give us.

This little guy is quite the performance prospect! His dam is a full sibling to Circle C Red Tape and his sire is the great performance sire Willow Creek Luigi. Speedy has legs like a thoroughbred and is as bold as they come. I am having lots of fun with him! When I went out to take photos of him he was busy harassing his poor mom. I couldn't resist sharing the photos below.
