Benson Ranch Caprice is a mild tempered, steady uncomplicated pup. I have done lots of leash work with her. She is very well socialized with people and ranch activity. Caprice has worked in several different fields on the ranch with varying degrees of difficulty, and has worked with an assortment of different types of livestock. She has shown a minimum of “puppy” behavior and has been respectful with the livestock, including the young lambs. She has been living with sheep of some sort since she was four weeks old and has had exposure to other types of livestock across the fence line, including cattle and Miniature Donkeys. I have used several adult Maremmas to mentor my pups, including Caprice. She is friendly and accepting of the mature dogs and changes in her circumstance. She’s a bold pup; sure of herself and friendly. Both her sire and dam have wonderful temperaments so it is no surprise to me that Caprice is a joy to live with. With hip tested parents and grandparents, from generations of working bloodlines, this pup should have a bright future.
